Introduction Thesis Statement There are many car accidents involving teenagers for many reasons everyday, not only do they have short term effects, but also many severe long term effects.

1 st Body Paragraph Topic Sentence: immaturity, inexperience, speeding, drinking, distractions, and seatbelts are the major things that effect car accidents. » Main Point 1: Speeding - Among male drivers involved in accidents, 37% were speeding. Main Point 2 : Texting - Texting and driving is the same as driving after drinking four beers.

2 nd Body Paragraph Topic Sentence: Right after an accident you have to face the short term effects like injuries and many money issues that go with it. Main Point 1: Money issues -Insurance for teens is one of the largest expenses of driving a car. Main Point 2 : Injuries - Around 400,000 teen drivers are affected seriously and need emergency treatment.

3rd Body Paragraph Topic sentence: The worst part about the aftermath of an accident are its long term effects. Main Point 1: Trauma Teens can suffer from traumatic brain injury after an accident. Main Point 2: Death - Almost 6,000 teenage drivers are killed in a car crash every year.

Conclusion Paragraph Unfortunately, car accidents involving teenagers occur one out of 3 times every month, for many different reasons. With it comes short term effects, and severe long term effects.
