3. 100 Word Challenge Prompt: a cold, snowy day…in July?? Write a story in 100 words or less about what you would do on a freezing cold day in the middle of July! Another challenge: don’t use the typical snow day activities like making a snowman, watching Christmas movies, or being lazy and staying in PJs all day. Make it unique.

4. Color Connections PromptColor Connections Prompt Simply take the colors below, and write a HAIKU about each of them! Write about how the colors make you feel, how they affect you, what you relate the colors to. Sky Blue Forest Green Lavender Peach Maroon

5. Song Lyric Challenge I will give each of you song lyrics from popular songs of today, and you have to write a small excerpt about the lyrics. Challenge: try not to use the exact lyrics in your writing, so we can guess which song you had! This does not have to be a description of the lyrics, but it can be if you wish; it can be a poem, narration with dialogue, persuasive essay, description of a person/place/thing, story, reflection, expository essay, any kind of writing you choose. I challenge you to expand your horizons! Think outside the box, the limits are endless

Here – Alessia Cara: Excuse me if I seem a little unimpressed with this, an anti-social pessimist but usually I don't mess with this. And I know you mean only the best and your intentions aren't to bother me.
