APRIL 13, 2016 Informal DTC Webinar Welcome! Thank you for joining us. We will begin shortly.

Quick Reminders/Information ELPA21 Window closes next week, 4/19

NAEP 2016-17 Updates No testing at grade 12 Testing in two modes (NAEP-provided tablets and paper-pencil booklets) in most schools, and the logistical impacts Schedule for NAEP communications (May notification of selected districts and schools, along with subjects to be tested and mode of testing for each selected school) Assessment dates – impact of late start/early dismissal?

Smarter Balanced Scoring Should we still expect three weeks or is the consortium optimistic it has enough raters and systems in place for the process to be less than two weeks for scores to appear in Student Staging?  The three-week turnaround time is based on the PT being the last segment completed and then hand-scored. If the PT is completed and scored first, and the CAT has few or no hand-scored items, the turnaround time will be much shorter and could even be the next day. Once scores appear in online reporting, what is the timeline before those scores appear in Student Staging?  Scores should appear in Student Staging the next business day after they appear in Online Reporting.

Q & A *intentionally blank*

Share Space Topics I am wondering if there are middle schools that test in blocks rather than daily hour long sessions. Are there schools that create testing schedules to use other classroom period rather than core classes to test?
