Values are cherished ideas and beliefs Values are learned from close social relationships, largely from early childhood home situations Work Values are standards of conduct and moral beliefs that determine what is important to you in your career

A combination of negative and positive parts that are valuative (express worth) A strong attitude is weighted heavily in one direction Your family has the greatest influence on your attitudes You also learn attitudes from personal experiences, friends, and the media

Consider the following lifestyle options when you plan your career: Region of the country in which to live Geographic environment and climate Community size Type of home (and whether to rent or own) Social surroundings

Using SMART goal setting techniques fill the chart out for three goals. Immediate (next couple of months) Short Range (6-9 months) Long Term (2-3 years) think in terms of before you graduate or right after you graduate
