Background information Islam broke into two branches – Sunni and Shia (Shiite). From the Sunni branch – came another branch of Islam extremist or radicals called Al Qaeda who is said to be responsible for the 911 attacks in the U.S. From Al Qaeda another branch broke off and became ISIS.
