1- In general FMD occurrence was a mild infection but: Milk production: decrease estimated to 30%. Meat production: decrease estimated of 10 % (Lebanon is an importing country for meat). FMD abortions are negligible.

Lebanon fulfilled requirements for FMD PCP Pathway stage I and continuing its surveillance plan to accomplish stage II and embark in stage III at least before 2017. Lebanon requested an OIE twinning process with ARRIAH (OIE reference laboratory for FMD). Lebanon is also requesting a PVS follow up mission for evaluation its current status.
