THE TERRIBLE SHIFT! “Somewhere in the twentieth century believers, particularly in America, began to shift from an attitude of self- sacrificing service to God and worship of God, to consumer-focused, self-serving attitudes.... the focus in too many of our church worship services is not on God. We are focused on our own selves, our own needs, and our own preferences” (p. 30).

10. “I Will” Attitudes of Corporate Worship  I will attend worship services.  I will pray before I attend worship services.  I will pray as I enter the worship center or sanctuary.  I will pray that I will be a worshipper instead of a judge.
