Your & You’re The quality of your homework is exceptional. Definition: Something that belong to you I know you’re going to do well on your homework assignment. You’re is a contraction for “you are”. To contract is to squeeze together.

There, Their, & They’re The park is located over there. Definition: a direction The parents will take their kids to the park. Definition: belonging to or associated with. They’re going to the park today. A contraction for “they are”

Accept & Except I accept the terms of the agreement. Definition: to receive I agree with all terms of the agreement except one. Definition: to exclude

Allusion & Illusion The professor made an allusion to Shakespeare's plays. Definition: an indirect message A mirage is an illusion one typically sees in the desert. Definition: A false perception of reality
