11 What is an Idea? It is specific, not general You can Assign It Your yellow cards should capture lots of specific things. Think to yourself “If I had to do this, do I understand exactly what I have to do?” If not, add more words to the card! You can Assign It Your yellow cards should capture lots of specific things. 13 Relax, Think and Have Fun! Tip: Print everything. No cursive allowed! Tip: Don’t worry about spelling! We will help each other later with spelling before we share our ideas with the project owner. Tip: Don’t worry about feeling silly with your ideas. We don’t judge. We want to share and build something together. 13

14 Presentation of Top Ideas 14 Find two volunteers from your group to share Simply go up to your storyboard and read your ideas Ask the group if they have any questions Have fun! You just completed your first Compression Planning session!

15 Dotting = Decision Making Time 15 Use Dots 1 dot per card, per person Don’t place your dots over the printed words! You need to be able to read them! Don’t let dots influence where you put your dot. Only place your dot where you feel the idea will help the project owner. This is quiet time. People need time to think if the idea is really going to help. Once all of the dots are placed, don’t automatically move over the ones with the most dots. Find the ones with the most, and then talk through if it really makes sense and will help your project owner. If you all agree, then move it under the card that says “Top Ideas”
