Won’t this be an issue when we go live with ICD-10 on October 1 st, 2015?  Short Answer: No. The ICD-10 representation of delivery is already included in the measure.

4 © Copyright, The Joint Commission CQM-1621, CQM-1633  Depending on the code system, the concept of delivery is represented as either a diagnosis or a procedure. –In ICD9CM: Delivery is a diagnosis –In SNOMEDCT: Delivery is a procedure –In ICD10PCS: Delivery is a procedure  The IP includes both delivery diagnosis and procedure value sets.  Solution: We will revise the guidance in the next annual update to explain the IP logic.
