2. Godzilla is a Japanese monster created by Mr.Tomoyuki Tanaka in 1974. Mr.Tanaka enjoyed horror films as a child, which led him to creating Godzilla. He was inspired by King Kong films. Godzilla is Mr.Tanaka's way of expressing feelings, so to speak. Ever since his first appearance, people have loved the havoc caused by Godzilla.

3. GODZILLA’S NAME Godzilla got his name from the Japanese word Gojira. He is also known as “The King of the Monsters”. Gojira means “gorilla and whale”
