Chapter Support for Native Plant Appreciation Week Write to your mayor to obtain a proclamation for your chapter cities Send your events to WNPS office for posting on the NPAW State wide calendar. Please include the county the event is taking place in for placement. Distribute the posters to 5 centers in your chapter that are well attended by outdoor enthusiasts to share the message of Native Plant Awareness. Distribute the press release to your local community papers. 13 large papers around the state have already been contacted. Request NPAW to be on your community calendar, perhaps some of your events too! Reach out to environmental or conservation groups in your area to suggest partnering in our outreach campaign. Share the partner calendar submission form to grow the list of activities around the state. Tell your members and families in your area about the resources on the website to get out and enjoy Native Plant Awareness Week. Tell you story afterwards! Share any participation data you can with the office. Recruit a chapter representative with interest in preparing for NPAW next year, this needs statewide representation. Many hands can make great work happen with ease!!!
