1 Howard Gardener’s 8 Frames of Mind: Regarding Multiple Intelligences in the Classroom

2 Intelligent behavior does not arise from a single unitary quality of the mind, but rather that different kinds of intelligence are generated from separate metaphorical pools of mental energy.

3 IQ tests focus on logical and linguistic intelligences. Gardener believed these tests assessed only two cognitive abilities. In 1983 he wrote the book, “Framework of the Mind”. In it he describes 8 different types of intelligences. 1Verbal/ Linguistic 2Logical/ Mathmatical 3Musical 4Bodily/ Kinesthetic 5Spatial/ Visual 6Interpersonal 7Intrapersonal 8Naturalist
