2. About us It’s over 25 years since we opened our doors with just two staff in a tiny office. The company ticked along for a few years until one day a young girl in the office mentioned that she was having problems insuring her modified Volkswagen. Now HIC are a thriving insurance broker on the national scene employing more than 100 staff at our offices here in Bishop’s Stortford and are one of the major players insuring classic and modified vehicles across the land.

5. Working at HIC Worried about being thrown in at the deep end? Don’t be! HIC provides a full training package. After your initial training you will then be rated on our staff rating criteria. This monitors your, quality, performance, attitude and work ethic to help you achieve monthly performance bonuses and the best possible grade every year. HIC probation period lasts 6 months in which you are given monthly feedback to give you the best possible start to your career at HIC.

6. Benefits Basic Salary packages for the first 12 months are up to £16,787 depending on experience  Staff are assessed and graded after 12 months and are given a salary according to their grade. With hard work and dedication to the role it is possible to achieve our higher grade where you can earn between £20,000 and over £26,000 per annum depending on what department your role is in.  Holiday Entitlement standard 25 days + bank holidays rising to 31 days for longer serving staff.  Performance Related Bonus – Up to £250 each Month. HIC has dress down days each Friday where we pay a pound towards supporting national and local charities The chance to attend car shows with wages up to £300 for the weekend.
