2. Act V, sc. i  Ophelia’s burial: 2 gravediggers gossip about her death and Christian funeral  Hamlet talks about death, the great equalizer  The funeral shows up—Hamlet didn’t know Ophelia died, and is very upset  Laertes is pissed at Hamlet  Claudius urges Laertes to wait on his revenge

3. Act V, sc. ii  Hamlet explains what happened to R &G— feels no guilt  Osric shows up to put Claudius’s scheme in play: says Hamlet and Laertes should fence as a bet  Hamlet apologizes to Laertes—he didn’t mean to kill Polonius  They fence; Claudius tries to get Hamlet to drink the poisoned wine, but he declines

4. Act V, sc. ii, cont’d.  Someone else drinks it instead!  It is crazy and chaotic—no spoilers, but get your bingo cards out  At the end, Hamlet makes amends with the right people and hands over Denmark to Fortinbras of Norway  Fortinbras orders a hero’s burial for Hamlet, and the Norwegians carry him away
