Types of Wheat Durum - very hard used for pasta. Hard Red Spring – High protein used for bread and is used for hard goods Hard Red Winter- the same as spring but is all purpose. Soft Red winter- low and protein and is used in pastry flour or is baking powder. Hard white- it is used in whole wheat and is identical to red wheat. Soft white- is starchy and have a softer kernel.

The treatment for Cereal Leaf Beetle is only recommended if it has one larva on its stem. To prevent fungal and use fungicides.
