Simple Past Tense ‘Did’ implies events that occurred in the past The simple past tense describes events that took place over a period of time… (add ‘ed’) Note: When a verb ends with ‘t’ or ‘d,’ an extra syllable is added!

Irregular Verbs & Past Continuous The past continuous describes an activity taking progress. It is commonly used to show 2 events taking place at the same time.
