14. The First Time I Went to a Library Book Sale The first time I went to a library book sale, I was so excited that I arrived almost a full hour early. Much to my surprise, there was already a long line of people waiting to get in! About thirty people were waiting by the door, holding giant plastic bins and oversized bags. “How many books are they planning to buy?” I wondered. As the librarian arrived to open the doors, and everyone crammed inside to reach the books, I realized that these were my people.
