1. Welcome to Homosassa Elementary School 2016-2017 (updated 05/23/16)

2. Homosassa Elementary Mascot Homosassa Elementary School’s mascot is the Dolphin. There are dolphin paintings on the wall at the front entrance to your new school that you can see every day when you walk into school.

4. The Front Office Area You will meet the receptionist at the front desk. She is the first person to greet you at Homosassa Elementary School. She is very friendly and helpful. You will find her at THE FRONT DESK.

5. The Clinic If you are not feeling well, you may go to the clinic and see Nurse Angela Howe or a Health Room Attendant who is there. She may take your temperature or give you your medicine, if you have to take any medicine at school.

8. The Media Center You may go to the library for class assignments. You may be able to take books out of the library for your class work if you need to, or you may just take out your favorite books. Mr. Eric Boynton can help you with checking out books and answer questions about the library.

9. Technology and Resource You may go to the Technology Lab and work on the computers. This is where you may learn many new computer skills. Mr. Boynton is the Technology Specialist too. He can answer your questions about the technology lab.

10. PE class Karen Hatto PE teacher PE is lots of fun. My class may go to PE under the big covered area on most days

11. The Music Room The Music Room is a fun place to be. The Music Teacher is Ms. Olsen. We may learn song to sing and hear musical instruments being played. We may also get to play a musical instrument too.

12. Art Room The Art Room is a fun place to create beautiful pictures and projects. The Art Teacher is Ms. Pate, she can answer any questions that you may have.

13. The Cafeteria You will go to the Cafeteria for lunch. You may bring your lunch from home or buy one from the Cafeteria. Assemblies and special programs may also be held in the Cafeteria. The ladies in the Cafeteria are very nice. Their names are Ms. Haggerty, Ms. Vilanova and Ms. Stacy. They will help you when you are in the lunch line.

14. Cafeteria Bathroom There is a bathroom near the cafeteria that you can use if you need to. You may need to tell a teacher if you are going to use the restroom during lunchtime.

15. The Custodians You may see the Custodians working at school. They help to keep our school nice and clean, so we can be proud of our school. They will also help us if we have a problem. The custodians are: Mr. Knorr, Mr. Pepe and Mr. Brown. Mr. Knorr Head Custodian Mr. Pepe Mr. Brown

16. The Playground The Playground is a FUN PLACE to be!!!

17. School Store I may go to the school store. This is also a fun place to go. There are many toys and also school supplies to look at.
