9 th Grade Physical Education Objectives:Objectives: –All students will understand the importance of lifelong fitness through movement. –Students will gain the knowledge of skill necessary to participate in lifelong activities. –Students will develop the skills necessary to accomplish a competitive activity within a team setting. –Students will understand the importance of cooperation, teamwork and social awareness in order to achieve a common goal.

The novelty of these activities help students stay engaged and having fun while they learn to share ideas, give support, and create a collaborative plan. Group problems highlight the unique skills of each group member and the need for everyone to be involved. –Debriefs (short discussions that occur after most activities).

Debriefs are often where the "ah- ha's" occur – in hearing the opinions and perspectives of others, and exploring improvements and changes.
