6. Fighting N. Korea pushes S Korea very far back Macarthur launches counter surprise attack Mac and his troops push N Koreans past 38 th Parallel

7. China Enters Fight Keep going till they are almost at Yalu River (border of China and N Korea) Chinese feel threatened! Oct 1950 China sends 300,000 troops across the border

8. Use the Nuke? By January 1951 Chinese have pushed UN troops out of N Korea Mac asks Truman to Nuke China!! Truman says no Mac tries to go around president to get it done Mac gets fired

9. Aftermath War ends July 1953 Border ends up being almost the exact same as it was before the war (38 th Parallel) 4 million soldiers and civilians died Today –North Korea still Communist –South Korea still not communist
