7. Eiffel Tower The Eiffel Tower was built in Paris in 1889. It was built to commemorate the 100 th anniversary of the French Revolution. It took 300 steelworkers 2 years to complete. You have to climb 1652 steps to reach the top. It is 300 metres high and weighs 7000 tons.
