1. AMAZON WEB SERVICES User Agreement Summary

2. The Services Free Services: These are the services we intend on using. They are collectively called the Amazon Web Services. Paid Services: They also have services for which you pay a fee to use. Some examples are Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3) or Amazon SimpleDB Service (Amazon SimpleDB). We don’t have any intention of using these services at the moment.

3. Service Agreement They have the right to modify the agreement at any time. We have to be in charge of being in accordance to the agreement at any given time. Term: Once we agree to the terms and agreement, we can begin using the services. Termination/Suspension: We can terminate the services at our will or they can discontinue the services at any given time for any reason or if we specifically break any terms.

4. What we can do Permitted uses  We can write a software application or website that interfaces with the services they provide. They can change the format of the API’s at anytime and we have to make sure our service is compatible with then-current APIs for the service.  We may make network calls or requests to the services at any time that the services are available as long as we stay within the confines of the limitations such as maximum file size (40K) or maximum calls per second limit (1 call).

5. What we can’t do We can’t interfere or even attempt to interfere with the functionality or proper working of the services. We can’t compile or use Amazon properties or any other information obtained through the services for purpose of direct marketing, spamming, unsolicited contacting of sellers or customers, and any other impermissible type of behavior. We can’t obscure, remove, or alter anything Amazon related that is contained within the services or on any Amazon properties. We may publicize our use of service but can’t have any press release without their consent.

6. Authorization Only one account per email address, unless otherwise stated. We are fully responsible for whatever happens within our account. We agree to let them monitor the external interfaces of our applications to allow them to verify our compliance to their policies. We can’t block or interfere with such monitoring.

7. Amazon Associates Web Services Amazon Associates Web Services is a marketing program for everything Amazon. This service is free and among other things, includes data feeds proprietary to Amazon regarding products and services available on the Amazon Website. The basic idea is we drive traffic into their websites and in exchange we can be part of the Amazon Associates Program through which we can receive payments for our efforts.

8. Amazon Associates Web Services In addition to the termination and suspension rights, they retain the rights to determine whether we can be part of the Amazon Associates Web Service and also reserve the rights to discontinue our use of their service. We cannot use this service with any application or for any us that does not have, as its principal purpose, driving traffic to their website and driving sales of their products and services.

9. Amazon Associates Web Services Without prior written approval, we cannot access or use the service for the purpose of aggregating, analyzing, extracting, or repurposing any Amazon Properties (including the AWS content). We can contact them at aws@amazon.com aws@amazon.com Without prior written consent, we cannot use the service in connection with any handheld, mobile, or mobile phone application.

10. Amazon Associates Web Services Certain information will only be available to use if we are an authorize participant in the program and are using that data for the purposes of merchandising Amazon products on or within our application. We must strictly be promoting Amazon products and services, and must link each use of the Amazon Properties to the related product detail page of the Amazon Website. We cannot link or drive traffic to commercial websites other than the Amazon websites using any of the Amazon Properties We can however have links within other areas of our application (i.e. not Amazon Properties) to websites other than the Amazon Website.

11. Amazon Associates Web Services Without a written consent, we may not sell, resell, redistribute, sublicense, or transfer all or any portion of the Amazon Properties as well as applications that are built using the service or that incorporate any Amazon Property. We can store a link for a product image included in the Amazon Properties for up to 24 hours, but may not store or cache the product image itself. We can store other Amazon properties (other than pricing or availability information) for caching purposes for up to 24 hours.

12. Amazon Associates Web Services You can store the following Amazon Properties for caching purposes for up to 1 month  URL; ASIN; Product Name; Catalog; Artists; Authors; MPN; Starring; ISBN; Directors; Manufacturer; Media; Distributor; Release Date; Publisher; Num Media; UPC; Reading Level; Theatrical Release Date; Platforms; MPAA Rating; ESRB Rating; Age Group; Encoding

13. Amazon Associates Web Services We have to comply to any direction by Amazon to delete any or all of the Amazon Properties. We must refresh and re-display any Amazon Properties (other than pricing or availability information) at least once every 24 hours or once every month, as applicable, by making a call to AWS and refreshing your Application's contents immediately after the call. If we display pricing or availability information on or within your Application, you must refresh the information by making a call to AWS at least once every 24 hours, and you must re-display the information and refresh your Application's contents immediately after the call.

14. Amazon Associates Web Services We have to correctly display the price according to Amazon rules if we are to have a pricing display on our website. We have the ability to provide text, image, reviews, and other informational content (all of which falls under “Associate Content”) about a product to us. They have the right to use it in any way they want to.

15. Amazon Associates Web Services You may display the Text Materials, keeping in mind the License to use the Amazon Properties, within your Application so long as you include the following disclaimer in plain view and clearly visible to the user of your Application: "PLEASE KEEP IN MIND THAT SOME OF THE CONTENT THAT WE MAKE AVAILABLE TO YOU THROUGH THIS APPLICATION COMES FROM AMAZON WEB SERVICES. ALL SUCH CONTENT IS PROVIDED TO YOU "AS IS." THIS CONTENT AND YOUR USE OF IT ARE SUBJECT TO CHANGE AND/OR REMOVAL AT ANY TIME."
