13 What is 2-Step Authentication? Two-factor authentication (also referred to as two-step or multi-factor authentication or verification or 2FA) is an overly technical-sounding term for a simple solution. It’s a security tool that uses multiple verification techniques to prove that the person attempting to log onto an account is really them. Some of these methods include: Something you know: a password, code, passphrase or PIN Something you have: a physical token, chip, fob, or phone Get step-by-step instructions on how to enable and resources at http://stopthinkconnect.org/2stepsahead http://stopthinkconnect.org/2stepsahead

14 Ways to Keep Your Organization Safe Take an Inventory to Assess Your Risk – What information do you collect? – How do you store the information? – Who has access to the information? – How do you protect your data? – What steps are you taking to secure your computers, network, email and other tools? Create a Cybersecurity Plan – Focus on 3 main areas: Prevention, Resolution and Restitution Protect Your Customers/Members/Audience/Stakeholders – Have (and follow) a privacy policy – Know what data you have, protect what you need and delete what you don’t Train Your Employees Learn more and download resources and toolkits at: http://staysafeonline.org/business-safe-online/ http://staysafeonline.org/business-safe-online/
