3. All about me Hi my name is Halie I am 13 years old and in 6 th grade. I am in band and play the trumpet. I have one brother and a very loving family and wonderful friends. I have amazing teachers, my teachers for 6 th grade are Mrs.Tedeschi and Mrs. Grimm. Mrs. Tedeschi is my Language Arts and Social Studies teacher, Mrs. Grimm is my Math and Science teacher. My favorite sports are basketball and cheerleading. My favorite animals are dogs and dolphins because they are intelligent. In this you will be learning all kinds of different stuff so lets get to it!

7. Look at me as a reader I think I have really improved on my reading from the beginning of the year until now. At the beginning of the year I was a level V which is the end of a 5 th grade level, and now I am at a level Z which is a start of a 7 th grade level. I am also in battle of the books (B.O.B) I’m in a group with Madi. Our group name is The FBI (Friends with Book Intelligence) since we are in a group of two instead of three we both have to read 6 out of twelve books.

8. A look at me as writer I think this subject is a subject that I have really improved on. At the beginning of the year It was really short and not neat! Now that Mrs. Tedeschi has taught me all the things to write a whole story I have been much better at writing. I will have little mistakes here and there. But that’s okay because everyone makes mistakes!

9. Teacher read aloud On My Honor. By Marion Dane Bauer -I thought that this book was good. This is a book about two boys who disobey there parents and go to a river. One of the boy drowns and the other boy is to scared to tell his parents. After a while he cant help to tell his parents but when he tells his parents there is nothing they can do about it so he has to live with the feeling that his friend is dead. The Tiger Rising. By Kate DiCamillo- I also thought this was a good book. This is a book about a boy who lies a lot. One day he had to move to a motel with his father after his mom died, because his father had no money. He had to go to school and when he went he met a girl and they became friends. one day his land lord came and he showed him a tiger in the woods and he said that he had to watch him so he had the key and the girl wants to find out so she forces him to show her and then she let the tiger out and someone shot it.

10. Teacher read aloud(continued) The Cay. By Theodore Taylor- I thought this book was okay. This is a book about a boy named Phillip who has to move with his mom because of a war that is happing in his town. He had to take a ship when he woke up the ship was sinking because it was bombed and he got knocked out when a piece of wood hit him on the head. When he woke up he was on a boat with a guy named Timothy. The next day he woke up he was blind. Timothy saw a island and the went to it. After awhile there was a hurricane and Timothy died so Phillip was alone for awhile and a plane passed and saw him. Then he got rescued and saw his parents again.

11. Teacher read aloud(continued) Island Of the Blue Dolphins. By Scott O’Dell- I thought this book was awesome. This is a book about a girl and her brother and they get stuck on a island and her little brother dies by a pack of wild dogs. She lives on the island for 18 years finally a boat comes and rescues her. Lawn Boy. By Gary Paulsen- This was my favorite book out of all of the books. This is a book about a boy who's grandmother gives him a lawn mower and he thinks that it was stupid until he mowed his lawn and people ask him how much. He mowed all the lawn and got a lot of money then he meets this boy who will invest his money and at the end of the book he made up to $480,000. Tuck Everlasting. By Natalie Babbitt-We have not read this book yet but I think that it is going to be a awesome because every book that Mrs. Tedeschi reads is awesome!

12. Fall Is Fall is my favorite season because of Halloween and Thanksgiving. It is really pretty my favorite part of fall is Thanksgiving because of the Thanksgiving parade and Thanks giving dinner and seeing family that I have not seen I awhile. I also like Halloween too because you get to dress up in what ever you want. Fall is not just about Halloween and Thanksgiving there is plenty of other stuff you can do like basketball, ride bikes, Black Friday shopping, apple picking, make blankets, read, and last but not least sit on the couch and watch movies with your family. So what fall means to me is family and of course candy!!! I hope you liked this and have fun this fall I know I will!!!

15. Year In Review My year has been amazing! My teachers have taught me everything I need to know for 7 th grade, and I am so grateful for that! I think I have improved on all subjects this year thanks to my teachers! My favorite part of the year is right about the end of the school year when we get to do fun stuff! Take time off of learning for a bit! My most favorite part of this whole year was making ice cream with my class!
