OBJECTIVES Coordination between General Assembly, Steering Committee, J-AGE II and JPI Secretariat Development and Implementation of SRA Research Topics Interaction with: AAL JP, other relevant JPIs, European Research Infrastructures, EIP-AHA, EIT-KIC on Healthy Ageing, GPC and H2020 Dedicated Workshops, SAB/SOAB meetings, ad hoc Working Groups Living document: it should be updated every six months with new decisions being made during the J-AGE II period; the document should be considered a Biannual Roadmap 3

STRUCTURE Implementation of JPI MYBL Alignment of national and European strategies as well as research programmes with Strategic Research Agendas (SRAs) of Joint Programming Initiatives (JPI) - Research Funding Organisations (RFOs) and Agencies have to: (i)Choose similar priorities (ii)Synchronize the timing of calls (iii)Develop coherent peer review processes – compatible with all national regulations (iv) Synchronize contracting and funding cycles 5

STRUCTURE Implementation of Joint Transnational Calls (JTC) 1. First JTC: “Extended Working Life and its Interaction with Health, Wellbeing and beyond”, to be launched on April 1st Preparation of Call Documents: ISCIII, under J-AGE Joint Call Secretariat: VDI/VDE-IT, under J-AGE II 2. Second JTC: to be prepared during 2015, introduction of Written Procedures for Selection of Joint Call Research Topics. To be launched on December 2015 Work Package 2, J-AGE II 6

STRUCTURE Alignment activities The alignment process covers: 1. National programmes in the context of Demographic Change and derived research strategies 2. Work programmes and strategic programs related to the societal challenges of Horizon 2020 3. Strategies of relevant European Commission DGs like “Regions”, “Employment” etc. 4. Relevant European initiatives (EIP-AHA, AAL-JP, JPND, JPI HDHL, JPI Urban Europe, KIC Active and Healthy Living, ERA-AGE II) Work Package 3, J-AGE II 7

STRUCTURE Monitoring and Evaluation Activities to assess the progress of the JPI towards its aims and objectives including monitoring the existing indicators of success and an external evaluation: 1. Continue to monitor progress of the JPI against its success indicators 2. Gather evidence on the impact of the JPI to inform on-going work and to feed into the external evaluation 3. Conduct an external evaluation which draws on the evidence gathered throughout the life of the JPI and informs the future direction of the JPI Work Package 6, J-AGE II 8

STRUCTURE Communication and Dissemination A communication and dissemination plan will be generated as an early deliverable and maintained during the duration of the J-AGE II project. Its continuous upgrade will reflect the roadmap of implementation activities around the SRA. 9

Call Preparation Process Working Group for Topic Selection Objective: taking operational responsibility for the definition process and the call topic selection Consisting of a representative appointed by JPI interested organisations (Voluntary Basis) The WG shall follow the SRA and shall consider initiatives and research in the Demographic Change sector across Europe, including other European R&D&I programmes -> in order to avoid overlap, duplication and to maximize synergies. The WG meetings to be aligned with either GA meeting or J-AGE II meetings so that the activity has not extra budget 12

Call Preparation Process Task Force (Editing Group) A Task Force shall be created inside the WG in order to develop the call topic description The WG shall decide the composition of the Task Force (TF), with a maximum of 5 members. Members of the TF cannot apply to the Joint Call The main responsibility of the Task Force is: Draft the Scope of the Call (description of the topic) for the Call Text and Pre-Announcement in close cooperation with WG 13
