Regional Policy EUROPEAN COMMISSION January 2006 EN GUVERNUL ROMANIEI Water & hydrogeological study Geotechnical drilling in dry system 17 (range 0,0-15,0 m): F1-F11 - 11 drilling research F1H-F3H - 3 wells of hydro-observation FIB-F3B - 3 drilling research in Bulgaria Judiciously placed over proposed works: provides data for. knowledge foundation of land proposed hydro-technical constructions. Drilling for water-pumping experimental observations allowed the determination of hydrogeological parameters of aquifers surface levels; Hydrological measurements will continue through knowledge DADL allowing movement of groundwater regime and the relationship between groundwater and Danube levels;

Regional Policy EUROPEAN COMMISSION January 2006 EN GUVERNUL ROMANIEI Geotechnical Study Investigation based on research of 12 geotechnical boreholes (FG1-FG12) by analyzing land stratification, the physico-chemical levels, the bearing capacity of the land, etc. The study shows that the area is characterized by high development and deposits of leossoide land belonging to the average category and good foundation.
3
Regional Policy EUROPEAN COMMISSION January 2006 EN GUVERNUL ROMANIEI STUDY of bathymetric measurement Because there are no water on the arm of Ostrov in the literature, 13 profiles were made on Ostrov of riverbed cross the river, necessary placement defense works against floods and other hydro-technical works: landing quay, fairway, protection mal, etc. The study was conducted by specialists from Hydrological Station Cernavoda, Constanta within DADL.
4
Regional Policy EUROPEAN COMMISSION January 2006 EN GUVERNUL ROMANIEI Study on water management A minimal study, which analyzes only a single use of water: drinking water supply to village Ostrov, but from underground sources. Assessment of all resources and water use, assessing the impact on water quality in the emissary of potential sources of pollution were proposed for future projects as provided in the Cooperation Agreement proposed by the two communities.

Regional Policy EUROPEAN COMMISSION January 2006 EN GUVERNUL ROMANIEI ENVIRONMENTAL IMPACT STUDY AND REPORT ON IMPACT ASSESSMENT The investment proposed will affect surface water quality limits allowed and will not affect groundwater quality. It will generate a significant impact on air quality, soil and subsoil. Vegetation and human settlements will be affected to within acceptable limits.
