4 Creating and managing an Online College Magazine where college students and faculties can post and read various articles, thus promoting literary insight. Articles can be searched by anybody in the world. – Problem Definition The existing system is a manual system. In this system Administrator needs to save faculties, students, moderators and articles information in the form of papers or books. There is no sharing possible if the data is in the form of paper or Disk drives. The manual system gives us very less security for saving data; some data may be lost due to mismanagement. There is no report generation in this system. It’s a limited system and fewer user friendly. Searching of particular information is very critical it takes lot of time. The users cannot able to restrict the information. If a student wants to know different articles details he has to go to the college and search for required article. This is time consuming process.

6 A feasibility study looks at the viability of an idea with an emphasis on identifying potential problems and attempts to answer one main question: Will the idea work and should you proceed with it? Before you begin writing your business plan you need to identify how, where, and to whom you intend to sell a service or product. You also need to assess your competition and figure out how much money you need to start your business and keep it running until it is established. Feasibility studies address things like where and how the business will operate. They provide in-depth details about the business to determine if and how it can succeed, and serve as a valuable tool for developing a winning business plan.

7  Technical Feasibility :- A study of resource availability that may affect the ability to achieve an acceptable system. This evaluation determines whether the technology needed for the proposed system is available or not.  Operational Feasibility:- It concerned with what change will be made in organization, what organization structure will be disturbed and what new skill is required when we introduce to the new firm.  Technical Feasibility :- A study of resource availability that may affect the ability to achieve an acceptable system. 8  Economical Feasibility :- The economical feasibility carried out to evaluate the effectiveness and performance of proposed system. During this cost benefit analysis can be done. It concern, how much expenditure comes while designing this project. So every stage must be planned and carried out as perfectly as is possible with the resources available so that if the project is a dud – it is cancelled before any more money is wasted on it.  Economical Feasibility :- The economical feasibility carried out to evaluate the effectiveness and performance of proposed system. 21 In any endeavor, testing is always important before the actual implementation. SDLC is no different, in fact testing in SDLC is so important these days that developers have to work in testing longer that most stages in SDLC. Types of Testing: Testing by developers – Developers will have to test the software themselves extensively. Even though they are also the one who have developed the software, they still have to run it extensively. These are the usual steps developers follow in testing their software: 1. Checking of Syntax – The software is checked as it is. Developers just run software and look for possible errors. A very basic checking to know if there are major functions and errors that will occur. 2. Code inspection – After the execution, developers review their codes to look for possible bugs or errors in coding technique. Even though it has worked in initial checking, the language has to be checked extensively to predict possible problems in some executions. 3. Desk Checking – In this part of the testing, developers check the code and the software at the same time. Each line of command is tested if the desired output is met. This is done manually as each line is expected to work and one way of making sure it will work is to manually check each line so that developers will know what output the line has created.

23 It has been a great pleasure for me to work on this exciting and challenging project. This project proved good for me as it provided practical knowledge of not only programming in ASP.NET and C#.NET web based application and no some extent Windows Application and SQL Server, but also about all handling procedure related with this project. It also provides knowledge about the latest technology used in developing web enabled application and client server technology that will be great demand in future. This will provide better opportunities and guidance in future in developing projects independently.
