Background Worked in a GP surgery for two years Prior experience with CHART and MIQUEST Got involved with AF audit in December 2009 Required to travel to practices and write guidance on installing GRASP No prior knowledge of installing GRASP tool Have installed on a range of systems

Things Needed Before Starting PRIMIS log-in and password Google “PRIMIS Profile Centre” to find ImmForm password CHART Software

First Steps. Register with PRIMIS www.primis.nottingham.ac.uk/registration/

First Steps. Register with PRIMIS Click on “Register”

First Steps. Register with PRIMIS Fill in details on form Includes user name and password

First Steps. Register with PRIMIS Can now access the “Profile Centre”

First Steps. Install CHART CHART is: Care and Health Analysis in Real Time Tool developed by PRIMIS, available from profile centre Free Excel based Compatible with all clinical systems Already installed in most practices – North East …and essential for running GRASP-AF

First Steps. Install CHART Click on “Download CHART Software…”

First Steps. Install CHART Click on the version you need Depends on Excel

First Steps. Install CHART Click “Run” Choose “Next” to all options

First Steps. Get ImmForm password If Nurses don’t know e-mail - immform@dh.gsi.gov.uk Put the following in the heading - “REQUEST PASSWORD FOR PRACTICE A81234” Must be in CAPS ImmForm will send you a new password May take some time

How to Download Done on a practice computer with: EMIS LV Internet Explorer 6 Excel 2003 Should be the same process on all systems

4. Become a Level 2 user This is so results can be uploaded to “Chart ONLINE”

6. Download / install the tool itself If you don’t get yellow bar and download doesn’t automatically start press “Click here if your download does not start”

6. Download / install the tool itself “Set-up Wizard” will appear, click “Next”

6. Download / install the tool itself If you get this screen – Congratulations you’ve installed GRASP-AF

Common Problem 1 “I’ve downloaded the wrong version of CHART!” Have Excel 2003 Downloaded the Excel 2007 version Can’t just delete icon

Common Problem 1 – Solution Need to uninstall Go to the “Start Menu” Control panel Uninstall a program Find CHART in the list and click on it Choose uninstall

Common Problem 1 – Solution Once CHART is uninstalled go to the profile centre and download the correct version Problem solved!

Common Problem 2 Get the following message in MIQUEST: There has been an error parsing AAAF.HQL: Bad syntax:*: line 0 You should report this error to the author of the HQL query

Common Problem 3 Get the following message in MIQUEST: Response file S;\CHART\CHART- Responses|AFREP1.CSV appears to be corrupted. NB: This is NOT a CHART Display Error. Most likely explanation is that MIQUEST query failed. Recommend check Queries and Query Processor

Common Problem 5 Get the following message when trying to open final spreadsheet in CHART. Summary failed to run – mismatch of field names. Ensure latest version of summary sheet and query set are both installed. Then rerun query.

Common Problem 5 - Solution Problem caused not deleting old query / response files. Delete contents on both folders. Re-run from beginning. Should now work

Other Hints If visiting a practice make them aware of what is needed ahead of time. Delete query and response files. Re-running can solve issues. Go through the steps again.
