THE WATERCYCLE Ms. Merryman’s class

WATER CYCLE There are four phases that happen within the water cycle: Evaporation Condensation Precipitation Collection
4
PHASE 1: EVAPORATION OF LIQUIDS. (1997, JANUARY 1). RETRIEVED APRIL 13, 2015, FROM HTTP://WWW.CHEM4KIDS.COM/FILES/MATTER_EVAP.HTML Evaporation- Evaporation is when a liquid can be sitting in one place (maybe a puddle) and its molecules will become a gas.
5
PHASE 2: CONDENSATION: THE CONVERSION OF WATER FROM A GAS INTO A LIQUID. (2013, JANUARY 1). RETRIEVED APRIL 14, 2015, FROM HTTP://WW2010.ATMOS.UIUC.EDU/(GH)/GUIDES/MTR/HYD/COND/HOME.RXML Condensation: Condensation is the change of water from its gaseous form (water vapor) into liquid water.
6
PHASE 3: PRECIPITATION. (2015, JANUARY 1). RETRIEVED APRIL 14, 2015, FROM HTTP://KIDS.BRITANNICA.COM/COMPTONS/ARTICLE-9487432/PRECIPITATION Precipitation: The liquid and solid water particles that fall from clouds and reach the ground are known as precipitation
7
PHASE 4: WORLD OF WATER. (2013, JANUARY 1). RETRIEVED APRIL 14, 2015, FROM HTTP://WWW.DKIT.IE/WOW/CYCLE.PHP Collection: when water that falls from the clouds as rain, snow, hail or sleet, collects in the oceans, rivers, lakes, streams. Most will infiltrate (soak into) the ground and will collect as underground water.
