6 Stand by your Quote 1. Read the quotes on the wall 2. Stand next to the one you feel best describes your belief of leaders 3. Be prepared to speak to why you picked it

7 Prize Engagement  If you volunteer you have 3 seconds to pick a prize  The next person has 3 seconds to pick ANY prize after volunteering  You cannot volunteer again until everyone has participated  If retrieving a prize becomes disruptive they all come back to me  If no one volunteers they all come back to me

17 Your task  With your group (or local) come up with a list of PRIORITY leadership traits.  How do we verify the traits of a leader?  Take about 10 min then we will check in and see our progress...

18 Why do we need new leaders? Why grow new leaders even if we don’t feel we need them?

19 Where do we find leaders? Growth mindset…now what?  Keep a running list (emails, complaints, etc.)  Principals  District trainings  Local trainings and workshops  Mentors  Parents  Any other ideas?

20 Local Leadership Plan  Where do we need new leaders?  What kind of leaders do we need?  Where can we find them?  Are the current leaders in the correct position?  What opportunities do we have for new leaders?

22 Remember…  Keep people engaged  Everyone is important  Change is good (especially for growth)  Sometimes it is just hard to be a person so be kind to one another
