alliteration Def: the commencement of two or more stressed syllables Ex: poems

ballad Def: one of sentimental or romantic character Ex: The blood-dimmed tide is loosed, and everywhere The ceremony of innocence is drowned; The best lack all conviction, while the worst Are full of passionate intensity.

Connotation and denotation Definition: Connotation is the feeling or association that a word or phrase evokes in addition to its literal meaning. Ex: Butterfly------------- Beautiful
