1. Barnaby Bear visits Spain

2. I found a map of Spain on the computer It is in Europe.

3. I need to go to the bank and get some euros to spend in Spain.

4. I flew from East Midlands airport to Spain. I loved being on the plane! I could see lots of things from my window! I thought I saw my house in England but it was too small to tell! I just couldn't wait to be in Spain!

5. We stayed in Barcelona for 1 night. It was a very big and busy city. This city is called Barcelona. It has lots of shop and beaches too!

6. There is a big church there. It isn’t finished yet and they have been building it since 1882, more than 100 years!

7. There is a very famous artist whose work is seen all over Barcelona. His name is Antoni Gaudi and he was born in 1852 in Spain.

8. We went around the city looking for Gaudi’s work.

9. I couldn’t wait to get to the beach. It was REALLY hot and sunny! Although Barcelona is a city like Nottingham, it has a beach too!

10. I saw lots of Spanish food. This made me very hungry! I went to a restaurant and ordered paella. Paella is a traditional Spanish food. They buy the ingredients from a big market.

11. In Spain, most of the shops shut in the afternoon and the schools have a very long break. This is because everyone has a rest. In Spain they call this 'siesta'. I am so tired. I need a rest!

12. In the evening I went into town and saw some Spanish dancers who wore beautiful costumes and played the castanets.

13. I went to see a bull fight. The man is called a matador and he calls the bull with a red cloak. It was exciting and a bit scary.
