UPM3 October 16&17 2007 Improving Timber Productivity in MN "A Step Forward" Summer steering group formed action teams:  Silvicultural Action Team Cheryl Adams & Alan Jones  Family Forest Action Team Katie Fernholz & Bob Tomlinson  Information Action Team Alan Ek & Bob Milne Based on the top three / six / eleven from March Conference, and incorporating ideas from March and other past conferences

4. UPM4 ACTION teams—Formed ACTION plans  Each person here today can have a role  We are all "Volunteers"  This is a chance to come together and take a leap ahead  Isolated efforts, no matter how great, tend to result in limited progress  Governor Pawlenty, Commissioner Mark Holsten, and Forestry Director Dave Epperly are looking for partners as they lead the effort on State lands—Counties, Industry, Family Forests, Federal lands all can have a significant role—IF we DECIDE to ACT.
