Purchased equipment Photovoltaic Systems as Actuators of Regional Development 2/13 The project is co-financed by the European Union through the Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross-border Co- operation Programme 1)Photovoltaic equipment (photovoltaic panels- 5 different techologies, invertors). 2) Measurement equipment (power analyser, electrical and PV tester). 3) Laboratory equipment (photovoltaic emulator, solar irradiation meter). 4) Set of cables and wiring, monitoring equipment ( meteo station, SOLAR LOG). Objective : Photovoltaic system will be optimized for climatic conditions of the project impact area in terms of selecting solar cells technology.

Measurements Photovoltaic Systems as Actuators of Regional Development 3/13 The project is co-financed by the European Union through the Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross-border Co- operation Programme Two different directions : 1) Construction of the 10 kWp solar power plant on the roof of the building of Faculty of Electrical Engineering; i.e. PV-SYSTEM MEASUREMENT 2) Establishment of the Laboratory for the Renewable Energy Sources; i.e. LABORATORY MEASUREMENT Photovoltaic panels- different techologies 1) Cristalline Silicon- mono; 20 panels ; 250 W BISOL BMO-250 (Slovenia) 2) Cristalline Silicon- multi; 20 panels ; 250 W BISOL BMU-250 (Slovenia) SOLAR POWER PLANT- PV SYSTEM MEASUREMENT

Photovoltaic Systems as Actuators of Regional Development 4/13 The project is co-financed by the European Union through the Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross-border Co- operation Programme Laboratory measurement Photovoltaic panels- 5 different techologies 1) Cristalline Silicon- mono; 2 panels ; 250 W BISOL BMO-250 2) Cristalline Silicon- multi; 2 panels ; 250 W BISOL BMU-250 3) Thin film; 2 panels ; Copper-Indium-Selenide170 W; Solar Frontier SF-170 4) Thin film; 2 panels ; Amorphous 100 W; Masdar MPV100-S 5) High efficiency monochrystalline ; 2 panels ; 240 W; Panasonic VBHN240SE10 1)Obtaining v-i characteristics for different technologies (artificially lamp, solar light)

Photovoltaic Systems as Actuators of Regional Development 5/13 The project is co-financed by the European Union through the Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross-border Co- operation Programme Laboratory measurement 2) Emulation of PV systems with different technologies 1)Photovoltaic emulator- DC Programmable Source; ET Systeme LAB/HP 10100, 2x10kW 2) Solar inverter – KACO 12.0 TL3 Part of equipment: The newly created database, based on the measurement, will be available for the scientific society. + Monitoring equipment:

Photovoltaic Systems as Actuators of Regional Development 6/13 The project is co-financed by the European Union through the Hungary-Croatia IPA Cross-border Co- operation Programme PV-system measurement Measurements on PV power plant Comparison and verification of results laboratory measurements and PV plant measurements Power quality measurements - The Impact of PV on Distribution System

7 The Impact of PV on Distribution System – Power Quality Measurements Power quality measurements Before and after the connection of PV on the distribution grid According to EN 50160 – 7 days before and after the connection According to IEC 61000-4-30 – analyzer class A

8 The Impact of PV on Distribution System – Power Quality Measurements The results of Power quality measurements: According to EN 50160 According to Croatian Grid Code

9/13 Analisys of Power quality measurements according to EN 50160: Voltage fluctuation Voltage dips and short interruptions Flickers Harmonics and interharmonics Overvoltages Transients Waveform distortion Voltage imbalance Power frequency variations Signaling voltages DC component The Impact of PV on Distribution System – Power Quality Measurements

10/13 Analisys of Power quality measurements according to the Croatian Grid Code: Limits for Voltage fluctuations and Frequency variations simmilar to EN 50160 Allowed contribution of power plant on distribution grid for THD U, Flikers and Voltage imbalance. This is the reason for analysis of power quality measurements before and after the connection of PV on the distribution grid. The Impact of PV on Distribution System – Power Quality Measurements

11 The Impact of PV on Distribution System – Power Quality Measurements THD U (% U n ), after the connection of PV. Total harmonic distortion, THD U (% U n ), before the connection of PV.

12/13 The Impact of PV on Distribution System – Power Quality Measurements The real power delivered to distribution grid from PV power plant – during 7 days test operation of PV.
