n Sexual harassment is illegal n USPS will not tolerate sexual harassment n Employee/Employee n Employee/Contractor n Employee/Customer n Employees must report incidents n Next higher level, unless alleged harasser n Reports are taken seriously n Fact finding is conducted by trained teams Sexual Harassment Policy

Taking a Report n Listen carefully n Initiate a prompt inquiry n Contact the Manager of Human Resources n Follow up with n Postal Inspection Service (physical contact, assault, threats) n Labor Relations n Document your actions

Listen Carefully n Determine if there is a need to separate persons n Assess the situation n Are other employees being harassed n Was there physical contact or threats

Initiate an Inquiry Conduct interviews Target of harassment Witnesses Alleged harasser Remind all parties of EAP services Emphasize and respect confidentiality

Contact Human Resources Manager n Provide notes from interviews n Explain actions taken n Human Resources Manager will determine if the Sexual Harassment Investigations Team will conduct fact finding and submit a report n Female and male team members n Not representing facility from which incident was reported
