3 Allows us to show you visuals. We can all simultaneously view websites, PowerPoints, videos, etc. It’s easy to submit questions.

4 Submitting Questions Use the “notes” button at the top. If you want your question to go to everyone on the call, select “all” in the notes box (on the right hand side of your screen). If not, select “moderators” in the notes box and your question will come to the moderators only.

8 What Is Drupal? It’s a free open-source platform. People all over the world contribute to making it better and more functional. It has a very user-friendly content management system.

9 Why Did We Select Drupal? It has extensive functionality options. It is being improved continually. It has a very user-friendly content management system. Many developers know Drupal, so there is an inexpensive “resource pool.”

10 Does Drupal Cost More? No. It’s a matter of selecting a vendor who knows Drupal. It’s important for vendors to know a variety of platforms to be competitively priced. We will be soliciting bids from a variety of vendors.

11 Our Branding Research

12 Web Design We tested a variety of photos, messages, web designs, etc. One web design resonated most with both internal audiences and external audiences.

14 Web Design The “tested” design gives us a head start. We have 15-30 seconds to grab a person’s attention on the Web. Research tells us that the Web is a primary entry point for people seeking a spiritual community. We want to create a user-friendly experience.

16 Spiritual Community Websites We are creating a “scope” document. A team from UWM and Unity School are developing the scope in tandem.

17 Spiritual Community Websites We are being guided by: The branding research. Our branding consultant. Looking at your current sites. Exploring the sites of other denominations. Now we need your input.

18 Your Feedback Is Needed We’ve developed two surveys. Both are brief. PLEASE complete them both. Designate one person from your center to complete them. Complete surveys by 10/27/10. Be honest.

19 Next Steps for Web Development We will incorporate your feedback into the scope document. We’ll present the scope to you on our next call. We’ll collect bids from third-party vendors.
