Provided powerpoint for teachers to use in classroom along with expectation lessons (KCID) FOR THOSE MINOR SITUATIONS…. I RECOMMEND THAT YOU KEEP A PAGE IN YOUR GRADE BOOK – OR A JOURNAL WHERE EACH CHILD HAS A LINE/PAGE. WHEN SOMETHING IS REPORTED TO YOU, YOU CAN QUICKLY MAKE NOTE OF THE REPORT. THAT WAY IF YOU NOTICE YOU ARE ON YOUR THIRD REPORT FOR ONE CHILD YOU CAN MOVE FORWARD WITH OFFICE REFERRAL. OR…… YOU MAY CHOOSE TO USE INCIDENT REPORTS AND KEEP THEM IN YOUR CLASSROOM IN A FILE UNDER STUDENT NAME. JUST LET ME KNOW YOU WANT A STACK. Harassment/Bullying: Repeated intent to intimidate, harass, annoy or alarm another person…damages or commits a theft…substantially disrupts operation of the school…creates a hostile environment by means of any gestures, written communications, oral statements, or physical acts…knowing it would cause another student to suffer fear of physical harm, intimidation, humiliation, or embarrassment.

6 Lessons for all Grade Levels Learning the difference between Tattling and Reporting (Using Poster for Reporting) Learning what bullying is. Learning / Practicing how to stand up for self / avoid & handle bullies & Peer Pressure Later in the year we move into other lessons that also support: feelings / making decisions /handling anger / etc. Bullying is when someone hurts another on purpose over and over.
