Divergent Boundary Plates are moving away from each other Magma rises between the plates creating new oceanic crust

Convergent Boundary Plates are moving towards each other Creates subduction zones Destroys crust due to melting, deforms due to squishing 3 types of convergent boundaries

Transform Fault Boundary also called a Strike-Slip Fault Plates sliding past each other Deforms crust due to friction Can create other small fractures (faults) Results in earthquakes Ex. San Andreas Fault in California
