These biscuits are produced on the occasion of Christmas.They are shaped like donuts, rolled, have the color of common biscuits, are brushed with egg yolk, are about 10 cm or more. They are prepared with a paste made of almonds and chopped candied fruit.

The baba or babbà is a cake baked dough with yeast, typical Neapolitan pastry. Its diameter can vary from 5-7 cm up to 35-40 cm. It's also divided into two and filled with chocolate or cream. In addition, there is also a version with essence of bergamot

Struffoli are typical Christmas cakes of Neapolitan cuisine. The cake is composed of many small balls of dough (made with flour, eggs, lard, sugar, a pinch of salt and anise liqueur) not more than 5 mm in diameter, fried in oil or lard, and (after being left to cool) wrapped in warm honey and placed in a dish, giving them, in general, a donut shape.Finally the composition is decorated finally, the composition with bits of cedar and other candied fruits, pieces of sugar and colored sprinkles (called diavolilli imps or "minulicchi"). A variant can be baking instead of frying the balls of dough,that so are lighter but just as tasty.
