10 Chapter 14-3 Cornell Notes Religion Heading 2 Maya worshipped many gods; Gods could “hurt” or “help”; believed they needed blood; kings “spoke” w/ gods; everyone gave blood (i.e. piercing), part of weddings, etc.; important festivals/rituals needed more blood = human sacrifice.
