SVCS Fuel Island Project: Stockbridge Valley’s Decision to Pursue a Fuel Island Project: April 2015SVCS was informed by the Town of Stockbridge of a leak in a Diesel Fuel Tank (leaking into a secondary containment tank) at the shared fuel storage & dispensing facility located at Carlon Field. DEC informed the Town of Stockbridge that they would allow up to one year for the Town to remove the tank.

SVCS Fuel Island Project: Stockbridge Valley’s Decision to Pursue a Fuel Island Project: May 2015SVCS Administration met with Town of Stockbridge to discuss issue. Initial discussion led to a direction of gathering informal quotes/estimates to replace tanks. June 2015Follow-up meeting with Town to share informal verbal quotes & written documentation of quotes. SVCS expressed on-going interest in collaborating with the Town relative to a continued shared service and fueling station.

SVCS Fuel Island Project: Stockbridge Valley’s Decision to Pursue a Fuel Island Project: July 2015Town follows up with District to share Town’s needs of 500 gallon tank. SVCS met with Architects to discuss potential “Local Emergency Project for Fuel Island,” & placed conference call to SED Facilities Planning to discuss feasibility of project. SVCS also made contact with: -School Attorney knowledgeable of Shared Inter-municipal Agreement -District’s Fiscal Agent regarding financing project -District’s Independent Auditor

SVCS Fuel Island Project: Stockbridge Valley’s Decision to Pursue a Fuel Island Project: August 2015District expressed continued interest in “Shared Service & Fuel Dispensing Facility” & extended opportunity to Town to join & share with District if facility was established on SVCS campus during August Town Board Meeting. Administration & Board of Education discussed options and alternatives for district at regular August meeting- identified district need for fuel availability for buses as of April 2016. Board of Education authorized “Local Emergency Project” as of August 20, 2015.

SVCS Fuel Island Project: Stockbridge Valley’s Decision to Pursue a Fuel Island Project: What Does The Fuel Island Project Consist of? 1 - 5,000-6,000 gallon underground tank (duel dispensing) 1 - 1,000 gallon gasoline above ground tank Lighted overhead canopy Total cost of project - $ 300,000 Project Funding: district “un-assigned” 2014-15 fund balance State Aid: reimbursement of 95% over 15 years

Baseball/Softball Scoreboard Project July 2015 Identified Boys Baseball & Girls Softball Scoreboards as a project that meets both the needs of the district and the criteria of the NYS SAM Facilities Grant Program August 2015 Athletic Director/Coaches/Business Administrator/Head Custodian/Toth Sports (vendor) designed & planned scoreboards to be installed
