1 Living New Life in Christ Jesus The purpose of this course is to help students understand that it is only through Christ that they can fully live out God’s plans for their lives. Students are to learn the moral concepts and precepts that govern the lives of Christ’s disciples.

4 Define Virtue “A virtue is an habitual and firm disposition to do the good.” CCC 1804

5 Describe Why Virtue is Important Virtue helps you become, as Matthew Kelly says, “The best version of yourself.” Becoming the best version of yourself implies that you are holy which will enable you to, Lord willing, make it to heaven and spend eternity with God.

6 Define Theological Virtue The theological virtues are the virtues that “adapt man’s faculties for participation in the divine nature and dispose Christians to live in a relationship with the Holy Trinity.” CCC 1812

7 Define Cardinal Virtue A cardinal virtue is a virtue that is considered pivotal in living a life worthy to be called a Christian.
