DEFINITION The master rotation plan is an overall plan of rotation
of all students in a particular educational institution, showing the placements of the students belonging to total programme Includes both theory and practice denoting the study block partial block placement of students in clinical blocks, Team Nursing, examination, Vacations, Co-Curricular activities etc. ….K.P. PURPOSE To make an advance plan of curricular activities
To know placement of students in clinical fields. To help students & teachers to prepare them to work. To coordinate between theory and practical To plan for leaves / vacation of faculty & staff For effective evaluation of the programme.

BENEFITS Provide planned learning experience in all clinical & community area. Complete the theory and clinical learning of students in a systematic way and avoid confusions and clashes in the planning. Better coordination of various clinical experiences for all groups of students. Evaluation and supervision is early and more effective.

PRINCIPLES OF MASTER ROTATION PLAN
Correlate with learning needs and adhere to the curriculum plan. Based on the principles of learning & maxims of teaching, (continuity, sequence, integration) Objective of each block must be clarified. Based on recommendation of I.N.C./R.N.C/ Uni. Provide each clinical experience of same duration to the all students & rotate each student. There should be no omission, repetition and over lapping of experience of students.

FEATURES OF MASTER ROTATION PLAN
Prepared on advanced for the whole year It follows the I.N.C. syllabus as a guideline for preparing. It shows relationship between teaching and clinical experience. The teaching and clinical experiences in curriculum are organized into a block in the entire programme. Each area is indicated by a code.
