4. Hypothesis and Materials Needed  Hypothesis – Beans will grow sprouts once they get sufficient water and temperature  Materials Needed – Water, jar, beans, a piece of cloth 4

Research Design / Procedure 1.Rinse beans in a clean jar. 2.Soak beans in water and cover beans with a piece of cloth and put the jar in a room with temperature above 18 degrees centigrade. 3.Rinse beans once in a day and then soak beans in water and cover beans with a piece of cloth. 4.Repeat the same procedure each day till bean sprouts are fully grown. 5

6. Observation and Data Collection Day 1 – Beans are soaked in water in a jar. Room temperature at X degrees centigrade. Day 2 – Beans have grown Ymm in day 2. – Beans are rinsed and soaked in water… Room temperature at Y degrees centigrade Day 3 … 6

7. Conclusion and Findings  Growth of bean sprouts depends much on the temperature.  Under Z degrees, bean sprouts grow slowly from day 1 to day 3.  Then bean sprouts will grow steadily at YZmm each day until day XY when bean sprouts grow to Xymm, ready for cooking. 7
