1. What math class should I take next year? If you are earning a B- or better in Algebra 2CP, then you should take Math Analysis CP If you are earning a C-, C, C+ in Algebra 2CP, then you should take FST CP If you are earning a D or F in Algebra 2CP, then you should repeat Algebra 2CP this summer or next year. If you will be a senior and you are earning a C- or better, then you may take Statistics CP If you will be a senior and you are earning a D or F in Algebra 2CP, then you may take Financial Math

2. Can I take Math Analysis Honors? If you are currently in 10th grade, AND have received high A grades in Algebra 1,Geometry CP, and Algebra 2CP AND you would like to be more challenged, then you may qualify for Math Analysis Honors.

3. The process to qualify for Math Analysis Honors is as follows: 1.Check with your math teacher to see if he or she feels it is appropriate for you. 2.Sign up for the Math Analysis Honors Placement Test by Thursday, March 24th, 2016 in the counseling office. 3.Take the Math Analysis Honors Placement Test on April 6, 2016 during CPT. 4.If your score is at the honors level then you will be asked to submit a petition for Algebra 2 Honors placement. Your past grades, placement test score and teacher recommendation will be considered to make a decision on your petition. 5.Only the petitions submitted by students who scored high enough on the placement test will be considered. 6.Your petition may be approved with the condition that you maintain B grades in Math Analysis Honors.
