SWE Website Overall Objectives Improve member website experience (ease of use and ability to access key information quickly) Increase web site traffic (attract new members/partners) Update and streamline content (site has grown nearly 100% in page content over the past 3 years) Create expanded opportunities to offer digital advertising and sponsorship Integrate SWE magazine content to increase traffic and provide an improved interactive experience (increase banner advertising and sponsorship opportunities) Optimize mobile experience Remove sub-domain and consolidate main website under swe.org

Website Improvements Review current site usability to determine existing patterns and issues Integrate SWE magazine (site-within-a-site including expanded digital advertising options) Single sign-in for users Integrate with other vendor systems (member database, career center, online store, communities, member only content) Integrated events calendar (Trumba calendar for national events and programs)

Website Improvements (cont.) Upgrade banner ads to be compatible with ad serving platforms Streamline content (archive unused old content) Further integrate social media (increase capabilities to interact, share pages, etc.) Mobile version of site for key membership needs Mobile version of magazine website Quick links page for leaders

Website Technology Updates Improve site search capability (include sites that are integrated with the main site, i.e., WE11, outreach, etc.) Improve keyword content to enhance SEO results Replace communities technology Update Joomla CMS to version 1.5 (from 1.0 and remove sub-domain)

Section Tax Exempt Status Two reports of tax-exempt status of sections revoked by IRS for not filling the e-postcard for three years Potential for Society-level SWE to serve as a sponsor for the sections Need research on implications of this Potentially adding significant financial processing.
