4. What is a noun?  A noun is a person, place or thing.  There are two types of nouns:  Common Nouns  Proper Nouns

5. What is a Common Noun?  A common noun is the general names of people, places, and things.  For example:  classdeer  studentscar  morningsport

6. What is a Proper Noun?  A proper noun is the name of particular people, places, and things.  A proper noun ALWAYS begins with a capital letter.  For example:  ColoradoAnna  Empire State BuildingSaturday

8. What are Singular and Plural Nouns?  A singular noun is ONE person, place, or thing.  Example: car, shoe, bench  A plural nouns is MORE THAN ONE person, place, or thing.  To form the plural of MOST nouns, simply add an “s”.  Example: cars, shoes, benches
