Benefits vs. Risks of Vaccines in Young Children

Are you for vaccines or not?
Most new parents will come to the decision whether to vaccinate their babies or not. Over the years, this topic has become more of an issue. Either parents are for vaccines, or they are not. Some parents feel that the risks after getting the vaccine is something that they do not want to put their child through. But the short term pain the child experiences from the shots, is far less traumatic then what the child would experience if the child did get the disease that the shot would have prevented.
3
Benefits vs. Risks The benefits of vaccines extend beyond prevention of specific diseases in individuals. When a child is vaccinated, their chances of getting any of the side effects is rare. The benefits outweigh the risks. Vaccination make good economic sense, and meets the need to care for the weakest members of societies. Even though vaccines are intended to prevent the disease, a child can still catch an infection. Numerous studies have debunked the notion that vaccines cause autism or other chronic diseases. Today, the bulk of unvaccinated children come from, wealthy, educated families where parents intentionally choose not to immunize their children, due to concerns about vaccine safety

Are you for vaccines or against them?
Would you want to vaccinate your children knowing that there are risks from the vaccine itself? Or would you rather not vaccinate your child because you do not want them to get sick from the vaccine? Do you think the pros outweigh the cons? Or the cons outweigh the pros? What do you think is best for your child?

My perspective I believe that the side of vaccines are very rare, and the disease itself is far worse. I know that the benefits of the vaccines outweighed the risks of the vaccines. I have decided to vaccinate my daughter because I know that it will be better for her. From my experience, she has not had any side effects from vaccines.
