Switch Every 9 Weeks Every student MUST have gym and health Students in Band, Chorus, or Orchestra will be in those classes all year.

7:10-Students enter building head to lockers 7:20 – 8:05 - Enrichment 8:05-9:10 - Core Class 9:10-9:55 – Related Arts 9:55-10:40 – Related Arts 10:40-11:45 – Core Class 11:45-11:55 – Lockers, Pd.6 11:55-12:25 – Lunch 12:25-1:20 – Core Class 1:20-2:20 – Core Class 2:20- Lockers to go home

Each Core Class is 60 Minutes Related Arts Classes are 45 Minutes Lunch is 30 Minutes

4 Marking Periods A Year 9 Weeks Each Interims go home half-way through each CHECK HOME ACCESS WEEKLY!

Each student will be issued a locker. Students are required to provide a combination lock for their lockers. Teachers will collect the combination at the beginning of the year. If a student is using a Key locks –teachers will need an extra key. Students visit their lockers 3 times a day

The individual teams (Blue and White) have separate supply lists. Do not use generic school list Should have received supply list tonight.

Grades posted for all classes Teachers will post grades once assignments are graded Attendance Students will also have a copy of the username & password make to help make them RESPONSIBLE

Students will receive both of these books on the first day of school. Each book has an acknowledgment page that must be signed and returned. Agenda books must be with students at ALL times Record Homework Passes Parent/Teacher communication Record passwords, locker combination, A GREAT RESOURCE FOR ORGANIZATION!!! If Agenda is lost a new one must be purchased by the student.

The school requires students to dress appropriately for school and ALL school related activities. Headwear of any type may not be worn. Outerwear is not permitted while in the building. (Fleece and warm-up jackets will be permitted) Shorts and skirts are acceptable attire; however, the length must not be above mid thigh. Pants must be secured at the waist. Visible holes above the knee that expose skin are not permitted. No pajama pants. Shirts must cover shoulders, cleavage, stomach, and back. Footwear must be worn at all times. Bedroom slippers not permitted.

A program to support and reinforce positive behaviors in all school settings. A tool for teachers and school personnel to support expectations in classes, halls and common areas. A way to help students take responsibility for their actions and develop a sense of ownership in our school. A POSITIVE way to help each student be successful. Events: Pep Rallies, trip to the movies, other fun ways to reinforce positive behavior. Requirements: Must be passing all classes, No more than 2 referrals within the event of the marking period

Parent involvement is important to a child’s success! Although we encourage Student Responsibility in the 6 th grade, do not take this to mean that ALL responsibility is on the student. They still need your guidance throughout the year.

Do’s *Make sure they are charged (every evening) *Bring them with you every day *Keep IPad in their case *Clean them regularly *Make sure software is updated *Always be signed into I Tunes and I cloud *Contact Homeroom teacher of any issues *Get support at appropriate times (morning /lunch) *Check your child’s IPad regularly- you should know your child’s password/login Don’ts *Download unapproved apps *Bring Charger to school *Don’t bend chords to chargers

An interactive classroom where some of assignments will be assigned and posted. Students will be assigned a username and password after receiving iPad.

Red Kayak by Priscilla Cummings. Students should have also received a packet to complete, while reading. Please have your child bring this packet(and book) with them September 8th.
